A game with Ed
I’m playing a Medium game with Ed. It’s fun. Harder than I thought it would be in some ways, but it has really highlighted for me how much easier it is to get something built when you do it as a team.
Hey — I’ve got no idea what it will look like or who’s going to play, how good they’ll be, their point of view. What they want to “do” to the character. And like most people I’m worried about someone knocking down my sandcastle (despite the fact I only did one bucket!).
Like perhaps some one “hogging” the ball. (Is that an international term?). Or just stealing it — I mean everyone’s talking about Trolls out there.. but playing with Ed really brought home yet again how much of an opportunity Medium brings writers.
But it’s just a game, so there’s the freedom of no cost failure. It got me to write a couple of lines off the cuff inspired by an initial seed idea. And most of all..
It was fun!
Can’t wait to see what he (our protagonist) does next! Oh and his brother too.
