Medium Quick Start
Hello World!
I’ve never actually tried to publish a Medium story before. Lots of other people have so it can’t be that hard!
I’ve noticed there’s a button for it in my Medium app, but what happens after I press that button?
Until now I’ve been a consumer rather than a producer on the Medium platform — but it’s about time I contribute to the conversation!
So, let’s give it a go.

This is me writing.

Up to now I’ve just been writing text on the edit page and it shows up here.
I can see there’s a big publish button in the top right corner that I suspect I’m going to click at the end of this process to go live — that seems obvious. Going to need that latter.
Now just to make my life harder, I’ve chosen to do all this from the device that I do most of my Medium reading on — my Android phone. I’ll probably fix things later on my laptop.
I’ve got some questions I’m gonna have to work out since I’ve never done this before, like ..
“What sort of functionality does the Medium editor provide?”
“How do I add a feature image?”
