Medium Quick Start
Hello World! from Laptop
In my first Medium article ever I tried out publishing to Medium from my Android phone. It was fun. Easy even. This time I’m going to use my Laptop.
I’d recommend you start your Medium writing on mobile first. It has way less options / functionality — and that makes things easier when you’re just starting out.
Either way the goal is to get to the point where you press publish. Medium is about writing. If you want cool functionality and lots of options then you’d be doing all this on WordPress right?

On with my second Medium article ever. I’m almost an expert now.
I do have to admit that this isn’t my first go at writing on the web — that was sometime ago. I originally started publishing websites with Joomla! and then recently moved on to WordPress.
Writing on Laptop
Even though writing on my Android was pretty straight forward, it left me with a whole bunch of questions.
Like what happens after I press publish, can I edit my story, do I get paid (asked my wife) how do I share it, get it proof read BEFORE I go live and who’s going to read it anyway?
