I’ve just written about this issue which I see as inevitable because of the “future of no work". And it’s interesting to read the coments on this article so far.

They reflect the problem of perception of BLI/BLA which is why I’ve suggested we stop calling it income and allowance and start calling it “dividends of citizenship” and tie into the idea fundamental tax reform to shift the way tax works.

We live in a corporate country these days so as citizen shareholders of that business which fundamental “owns” a bunch of assets — where are our dividends? Who gets them rather than us?

In our country the hypocrisy of who gets what out of our government and who foots the bill have become a joke — especially with the COVID.
