Attribution is important to me as a creator. I would like it for my work, and that means it’s only fair that I give it to others or it would be a bit unrealistic to expect it back.

Which is why I need to start by saying it was an article by Cory Doctorow which triggered the line of thought for this article.

In his article “Everything Made by an AI Is In the Public Domain”

Cory informed us that:

“Last week, a US federal judge handed America’s creative workers a huge labor win”

because by refusing to allow an AI produced work to be copyrighted it in theory would mean that AI can’t be used to generate commercial intellectual property.

I disagree (that it was a labor win).
